How should I care for my jewellery?

Many factors can influence the wear and tear of jewellery. You should take the same care of your jewellery as you would of a favourite piece of clothing. Always make sure it is properly cleaned, repaired, and stored when not being worn. Ideally you should keep your Daisy piece in the pouch or box that it came in, to minimize the effects of sunlight and the environment. Precious metals are also greatly affected by chemicals, so keep your jewellery away from body lotions, perfumes, sun creams and make up wherever possible. Try to put your jewellery on after you have finished dressing, to minimise exposure to any harsh elements.

Care Of 925 Sterling Silver Products

Silver likes to be stored in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. You must be especially sure to keep your silver away from chlorinated water, as it may become discoloured. Silver can be cleaned with a soft toothbrush and warm soapy water, or with a soft specialist silver jewellery cloth.

Care of 18ct and 24ct Gold Plated Products

Gold also likes to be stored in a cool dry place. When gold is exposed to soapy water it can take on a dull sheen, so try to remove gold pieces before bathing. Gold can be cleaned using a very soft specialist jewellery cloth.

Care of Cord Products

Many Daisy products use premium-grade polyester or nylon cord. Whilst this cord is very durable, it is still a fabric product and extra care must be paid to keep it looking and feeling like new. We advise removing corded products before bathing or swimming to protect the overall finish. Chemicals such as lotions or oils may discolour the fabric (just as they would with clothing) so we advise being extra-careful during application.

Warranties

The warranty period on 925 sterling silver and 24ct or 18ct gold plated items is 12 months with proof of purchase.

The warranty period for items using cord is 6 months with proof of purchase.

Outside of the standard warranty period, we offer a re-stringing service for corded products. The cost for this service is £25.00 and you should allow 4 weeks for completion.
