After wearing, wipe your jewellery with a soft cloth and store pieces separately in a box or a pouch to avoid scratching. Wait until after you have applied cosmetics or perfumes to put on jewellery - chemical products can have a corrosive effect on metals.
Vermeil and 925 sterling silver are both malleable metals, and are therefore subject to change through gradual wear. Silver in particular can tarnish over time, and this process is sometimes accelerated by the corrosive nature of skincare and cosmetic products.
Oxidisation is a treatment process applied during manufacure and will change and wear over time. This is not a product fault, but a natural result arising from both the use of skincare products and from general wear. We suggest that you avoid soaking oxidised jewellery as this can also damage the finish.
Our coloured cord is made from either 100% nylon or 100% polyester, both man-made fibres which have been specifically chosen for their high levels of durability and resistance to abrasion. Such fibres are subject to change over time and may fray if subjected to unnecessary amounts of friction.
Most metal jewellery can simply be cleaned with a liquid detergent solution. However, for silver jewellery we suggest a milder cleanser containing no bleaching agents or ammonia. Rinse each piece and brush using a soft toothbrush to remove any stubborn dirt. Jewellery polishing cloths may also be used as a final touch of care for your special DAISY pieces.
