Daisy Jewellery was started in February 2009, with the launch of the self design ‘Stack Ring Concept’. However the seeds of the company were sown 5 years earlier when a capsule collection was created based on the humble English Daisy; found in my garden in Cranleigh, Surrey. The Daisy underscores and permeates our first collection.
 
This collection is very English and has a broad appeal to all ages, with its basis in nature. It is the fulcrum that drives the new design initiatives.  With the current popularity of self design jewellery, I sat down and wondered how the bead concept could be extrapolated into another area of the jewellery market. I remember the work of the eminent English designer Wendy Ramshaw. I looked at her interpretation of stack rings in the 1970’s, and decided to use the Daisy as the starting point to create a new  silver collection of stack rings.
 
There are 170 sterling silver rings that incorporate, nature, texture and coloured stones.  Spacer rings act as building blocks and allow the consumer to design their own masterpiece along one or several of their fingers.
 
For 2010 James and I are working on two capsule collections of rings with a ‘fashion forward,’ sharper, and edgier feel.
 
At the heart of our first collection, is a ‘sense of fun’, and the concept of inclusiveness, where anyone can allow their artistic side to come to the fore.
