News: Cervical cancer Is preventable

January 21st marks the launch of cervical cancer awareness week, and we are incredibly proud to be supporting a charity close to our heart, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.

Every day nine women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and two women will lose their lives. Looking around our predominantly female office, this is scary. Smear tests save lives. By going for your free smear test unusual cells can be detected. They aren’t easy for everyone but they do prevent 75% of cervical cancers.

Today we launch the Aphrodite necklace, in which £10 of every sale will go directly to Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust to help raise awareness towards preventing this disease and providing vital support to those affected by it.

Inspired by the beauty of the female form, wear this necklace as a statement of empowerment, hope and life.

It’s the only UK charity dedicated to women, their families and friends affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities. It was established in 1999 by friend of Daisy,  James Maxwell after his wife Jo passed away from Cervical Cancer, as it was her wish that every woman affected by cervical cancer could get the support and information they needed.

To make cervical cancer a disease of the past.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, a charity close to our heart. As a majority female team, we believe it’s our duty to share our knowledge and raise awareness to eradicate this preventable disease.”

It’s been an amazing few months working on this fantastic cause with Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and we were truly inspired and humbled by the fantastic women who came to take part in our photoshoot, so thank you (you know who you are)! Or help us spread the word and join Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust’s #SmearForSmear campaign to remind and encourage attendance.
