5 Days In Daisy | Raissa Leme

We caught up with New York model, and all round beautiful being, Raissa Leme to talk Brooklyn hot spots, styling tips and the key to her infectious energy. We’re crushing hard! Get ready to feel inspired, this girl is quite something…

1. Tell us what a typical day looks like for you?

A typical day looks like; I wake up between 5:30 - 6:30 am. I try to meditate and do my rituals before jumping on the phone (which is hard). My goal in the morning is to not look at my phone for at least the first hour of the day, sometimes I succeed sometimes I don’t. Morning for me, when I am not on set shooting, is the most important time of the day, it is where small decisions make a total difference on how my day will be. So after meditating and setting my intentions I put on music and I start dancing. I love to move my body, it elevates my energy and keeps me grounded. I am working everyday, when I’m not on set I am working on personal projects, and between calls and studies I am dancing and those are the moments I share on social media hahaha. Life is coming back to normal right now in NYC, so my days since things started opening up have been completely different everyday. After my work hours I am usually calling my mom because we have a routine of sitting down and meditating together once a day for 5 minutes. She is in Brazil, and with the pandemic, we are trying our best to be as close as possible to each other. And during the evening either I am hanging out with friends on the phone or just chilling and listening to music while I am preparing dinner. So this is more or less what a typical day looks like for me.

2. Name your favourite spot in Brooklyn to get…

Coffee - I am not a coffee person, only drink it when it’s needed. So I don’t have a favourite spot.

Bagels - Fan Fan Doughnuts (it is a ritual going to this place every Sunday)

Inspiration - Dumbo and Fort Greene neighbourhood

3. Your beautiful energy is truly infectious… what’s your top tip for smiling bright every day?

To dance, seriously. Dance is my favourite thing to do. And for The days I am not feeling 100% I just put on my favourite song, it might take a bit longer for the energy to come but it comes. And be grateful. Be grateful for everything that is happening in your life, no matter what the circumstances are.

"Some people can't leave home without makeup, I can't leave home without at least a piece of jewellery."

4. What’s on your bedside table?

A currently book I am reading that's called - Clarity & Connection from Yung Pueblo and some of my rings.

5. You’ve got 5 minutes to leave the house, what do you wear?

White tank top, a pair of jeans, sneakers and my jewellery.

6. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you travel?

Home - Brazil, be in the arms of my parents.

7. You love to have a boogie, what’s your favourite song to dance to?

Wow, I have so many of them. I love 'Funk Carioca' also known as 'Favela Funk', the beats of the songs are just insane and also 'Afro Beats'. Kika Uma Vez, Kika De Novo - MC PR, MC Jotinha Collateral Damage - Burna Boy.

8. How does jewellery make you feel?

Jewellery makes me feel amazing, there is a sensation that it gives me that is difficult to put it into words. Some people can't leave home without makeup, I can't leave home without at least a piece of jewellery. Powerful is a word I would add as well.

9. Favourite piece (or pieces!) of Daisy jewellery?

Ohhh that’s a hard one. Maia Ring is my favourite, this is one of the pieces I use every single day! Estée Lalonde hoop earrings and Isla Tidal Twist necklace.
