Daisy Travels | South Tyrol

You might have seen on Instagram, that a few weeks ago we headed to South Tyrol in northern Italy to celebrate the launch of our new Healing Stone pieces. Seven stones. Seven meanings. Three brand new designs to discover!

We teamed up with South Tyrol to plan the perfect trip to visit this beautiful region with four of our favourite Daisy gal pals; Lizzy Hadfield, Lindsey Holland, Carrie Santana da Silva and Liv Purvis. Known for its magic healing properties, unique energy and breathtaking views, the region was the perfect backdrop to re-connect with ourselves and uncover the essence of the collection.

After a very reasonable start time (no-one likes those 6am flights) we arrived at our first destination and checked into Hotel Therme Merano. Tired from travelling we freshened up and headed for dinner at restaurant Kallmünz for the first of many carb heavy meals. When in Italy, right?!

The following morning we headed to the roof of the hotel to their Sky Spa, an oasis of wellness up in the clouds and surrounded by mountain peaks. The perfect way to start the day. Next we headed to the picture perfect town of Alois Lageder to explore the 17th century houses, a delicious lunch at the restaurant Paradeis of, yes you guessed it, pasta and bread, and then a tour of the local winery. Of course, we couldn’t resist trying some of the local wine too.

On the move again, we arrived at our second hotel, Hotel Das Wanda in Caldaro/Kaltern. Super cool with its luxurious yet minimal, chic rooms and a gorgeous view of the mountains from every window as well as an amazing terrace where we had breakfast the next day.

The sun came out just in time for our hike. And when we say hike, it was more like a stroll, starting from the top of the Rastenbach Gorge and heading downhill through waterfalls and shady canopies into the sunny fields and Lake Kaltern. After a gorgeous al fresco lunch and an obligatory gelato (again, pretty much compulsory for Italy!), it was up to Lake Karersee for the most amazing views. We had never seen crystal clear blue water like it – our pictures don’t do it justice!

Our final stop of the trip was Hotel Rosalpina high up in the Dolomites. We all agreed it was the best view we’ve ever woken up to, like something out of National Geographic. The perfect spot for another photoshoot of the new Healing Stone pieces.

Thanks to South Tyrol for a truly unforgettable trip and to our amazing blogger pals for being the best company.
