I Am Me, Unapologetically

I am a lover. I am a friend. I am a teacher. I am still learning. I am a leader.

It started as a conversation. A conversation that while we were all at home, we needed to have with each other. As women, we put unbelievable amounts of pressure on ourselves to be ‘perfect’. Yet, that definition of perfection is different for every single one of us. Some of us are lucky to have the headspace to know who we are already. Some of us are still learning. We all have good days and bad days. “I am me, unapologetically” encourages us to think about the many roles we play and how valuable they are to ourselves and those around us. Championing, nurturing and learning from each other is at the centre of what we do at Daisy. We wanted to share this message with you, our Daisy chain. To be more accepting. To open our eyes, our ears, and most importantly, our minds to the world and those around us. To just be us. Unapologetically.

Meet the women that brought our campaign to life, who are all unapologetically themselves.

Vancouver based mama of two gorgeous boys @sarahshabacon is the creator behind the online boutique, Bohème Goods. Each garment is made in Canada from natural fabrics, in “effortless silhouettes for all our bodies”, allowing women to breathe and feel comfortable in their clothes and their own skin.

Yoga teacher and sound healer with a psychology major, @biancavenerayan is the definition of multifaceted and proves you can have brains and beauty. Originally from Toronto, Canada and now residing with her husband in London, her work focuses on mental health, wellness, sex positivity, and environmental sustainability.

"I am me, unapologetically means living life without surrendering or giving up parts of yourself to please others."

The only thing that shouts Daisy more than an empowered woman is an empowered mother, and that's just what @moonandcheeze, aka Bri McDaniel, is. Chronicling her journey through Black Motherhood in her namesake print collection, her breastfeeding shots are inspired.

Brooklyn-based @kaiaventdeleon is the epitome of selfless-mother-nature. A modern-day multi-hyphenate, she is the creator of the Beyoncé approved concept store Sincerely, Tommy and follow up success, boutique hostel and restaurant, S,T Eat & Stay, as well as being a voice and advocate for the black community in her neighbourhood of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
