Self-Care Rituals For Autumn
How on earth did that happen? But we’re not complaining. It’s sort of a special time for us. Both astrologically and spiritually, autumn is about balance and equilibrium. You might have been a social butterfly over the summer, but Autumn is about looking inwards—it’s about personal growth. So, with that in mind, we’re sharing some of our 10 favourite autumnal self-care rituals.
Set Intentions
One of our favourite self-care practices is to set yourself intentions. It’s less prescriptive than a ‘To Do’ list. You don’t need to feel bad if you don’t achieve them all, just think of it as a guiding light when you’re feeling a little lost. If yours is to put down your phone and read at night, before bed then, when you’re lying there scrolling just bring yourself back to that intention. Keeping a diary is a great way to do this or to have a tactile, grounding tool. It was with this in mind that we designed the Estée Lalonde Goddess Medallion Pendant Necklace. The pendant isn’t affixed to the chain, so you can hold it between your thumb and forefinger when you want to bring yourself back to that intention.

Morning Rituals
As the sun begins to rise a little later it’s even more tempting to stay put in bed. Your morning rituals are more important now than ever. Whether it’s a mindful morning coffee , a gratitude journal or a few minutes of mediation. Whatever resonates with you. Commit to a morning ritual that brings a little sunshine to the start of your day. Speaking of which, the Estée Lalonde Sunburst Signet Ring will do just that for your stacking game.
Top tip: put on some UK grime whilst practising gratitude because, balance.
Get Outdoors
We know, it’s so tempting to start preparing to hibernate at this time of year. We’re ready for it too. But it’s so important for our mental wellbeing, our immune systems, and our circadian rhythms to get our daily dose of sunshine. Apparently, the best time is in the morning, but just do what you can to get outside every day—come rain or shine. Nothing symbolises that equilibrium between night and day as our Estée Lalonde Luna Charm Necklace. Featuring a sun and moon motif, it’s a constant reminder of the light and dark, the yin and yang, in all our lives.

Move
And whilst you’re out, move! Walk, run, crawl if you have to (ok maybe don’t crawl—it gets muddy this time of year) just make sure to move your body. It doesn’t have to be exercise in the traditional sense. Dance like no one’s watching around your living room. Ok, we might not all look as serene as Estée, showing off the Estée Lalonde Luna Ring, but that’s not the point.

Practice Your Self-Care
Ok, this one might sound obvious, but self-care is a practice, so you need to do it often. Whatever those things are that leave you feeling nourished, lean into them during the autumn season. Whether that’s having a long bath with some candles, treating yourself to an at-home facial, a really juicy yin yoga session or saging your home of all those pesky negative energies. Whatever it is that leaves you feeling positive and revived.
Probably just going to burn some sage and call it a day.
Rest
And if all that hasn’t got you exhausted, you’re made of stronger stuff than we are. Don’t forget to rest. Sometimes we feel as though we should carry on at the same pace of life as we did during the summer months, but autumn is a time for rest, recuperation, and reaping what you’ve sewed. Get an early night, take that afternoon nap, hit snooze on the weekends (in fact, do away with the alarm completely on the weekends). The longer nights are nature’s cue to let you know you should get an early one.

Glam up
And when you need to feel extra special this autumn, glam up. Whether you’re going out-out or just grabbing a coffee, sometimes putting on your favourite lipstick and go-to jewellery can make you glow better than any sunset could. The Estée Lalonde Luna Necklace and Estée Lalonde Luna Ring are a potent combination for when you want to feel invincible, as the moon is a symbol of feminine power. The waning moon, depicted in these pieces, symbolises a time of reflection, purging, and letting go of things that no longer serve you. It’s what autumn is all about.
